First things first, the animals, what a treat! Folly Farm boasts a delightful mix of outdoor and indoor enclosures, making it an all-weather haven for wildlife enthusiasts. In particular, I absolutely loved seeing the rhinos who despite having the ability to go outside were choosing to parade in front of the crowd instead.

The thrill of carnival games, the laughter echoing from the rides, and the vibrant atmosphere make it a day trip within a day trip the nostalgia! The recent introduction of wristbands for unlimited rides is a game-changer. I found myself happily hopping from one ride to another without worrying about tickets. The joy on the faces of kids and adults alike is infectious! Just remember to not push your limits!
However, a word of advice on the food front: while the day was filled with excitement, I must confess that the culinary offerings at Folly Farm left a bit to be desired. To make the most of your visit, I'd highly recommend packing a delicious picnic. There are plenty of scenic spots to enjoy your meal, adding to the overall experience. There’s also an indoor seating area for when the weather is not the best.
I would however recommend the fairground donuts, with a rich chocolate sauce and a dusting of sugar they were perfection. Just bring some baby wipes for your hands!
