If you've ever wished you could step straight into your favourite Pixar films, then the Mundo Pixar Experience in London is about as close as you're going to get.

As someone who absolutely loves Disney and Pixar, I went in with pretty high expectations. Pixar films have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, so I was hoping for something that captured that same feeling of magic, nostalgia and imagination. I'm happy to say it absolutely delivered.

Is it perfect? No.

Is it expensive? A little.

Did I wish it lasted longer? Definitely.

But would I recommend it?

Without hesitation... yes.

First Impressions

The experience is located in Wembley, inside a purpose-built exhibition space that immediately feels exciting from the moment you arrive. Everything is well organised, with timed entry slots helping to keep the flow moving smoothly. The attraction itself is designed as a walk-through experience featuring multiple immersive rooms inspired by some of Pixar's most beloved films. Visitors explore around 14 themed environments over roughly 45–55 minutes. Before you even enter the first room, the anticipation starts building. Pixar music is playing. Characters appear on the screens. Everyone around you is smiling. Adults suddenly become children again.

Parking

Let's get the only real negative out of the way first.

Parking isn't ideal.

There isn't a huge car park directly outside the experience, so we parked in one of the nearby Wembley car parks. It was around a five to ten minute walk, and like most parking in London, it certainly isn't cheap. That said, it's exactly what I'd expect for central London. If you're driving, I'd simply factor the parking cost into your day out and arrive a little earlier than your booking time so you aren't rushing. If you're travelling by tube, Wembley Park station is only a short walk away, making public transport a really convenient option.

Walking Into Another World

One of my favourite things about Mundo Pixar is that it doesn't feel like you're simply looking at movie sets. It genuinely feels like you've stepped inside them. Every room has its own atmosphere. Its own soundtrack. Its own lighting. Its own tiny details. But the thing that surprised me the most... The smells.

Every single room has its own scent. I'd heard people mention this beforehand, but I wasn't prepared for just how much it adds to the experience. It sounds like such a small detail, yet it completely transforms every scene.

Walking from one film into another doesn't just look different.

It feels different.

The specially designed scents, alongside the sound effects and music, create an incredibly immersive experience that transports visitors into each Pixar world.

It's one of those touches you don't really appreciate until you're there.

The Attention to Detail

Pixar has always been known for hiding little Easter eggs in its films, and Mundo Pixar captures that same attention to detail beautifully.

Everywhere you look, there's something new to notice—books, signs, props, furniture, posters, tiny references, and hidden surprises. You could easily spend ages simply looking around each room because there are so many details packed into every set. Even if you've watched these films dozens of times, you'll still find yourself spotting things you'd never noticed before.

The sets were created with Pixar's input and are packed with authentic details and hidden Easter eggs, making them feel remarkably true to the films.

The Toy Story Rooms

If I had to pick a favourite, it has to be Toy Story. Without question.

Walking into Andy's bedroom genuinely made me stop in my tracks. Everything is enormous and you're suddenly toy-sized. The furniture towers over you, the shelves stretch high above your head, and Buzz and Woody watch over the room. It genuinely tricks your brain into believing you've shrunk.

As someone who grew up with Toy Story, it felt surreal. It's also probably the best photo opportunity in the entire experience. Everywhere you stand looks incredible and the perspective is perfect. Honestly, I could have spent half an hour in this room alone.

The Toy Story environments are widely regarded as the standout feature of the exhibition, creating the illusion that visitors have become the size of Andy's toys.

Every Room Feels Different

One thing I really appreciated was how varied everything felt. Rather than every room blending together, each one has its own personality.

One moment you're underwater, the next you're standing in Radiator Springs. Then you're walking through the colourful world of Coco. Each transition somehow manages to reset your expectations before revealing something completely different.

The pacing works brilliantly, and every new doorway makes you wonder what you're about to discover next.

Perfect for Photos

If you love taking photos, you'll be obsessed.

Pretty much every room is Instagram worthy, and the lighting has clearly been designed with photos in mind. There are staff members throughout the experience who are more than happy to take pictures for you, which means nobody gets left out of the family photos.

I always appreciate attractions that do this because it means you don't spend the whole experience balancing your phone on random ledges trying to get a group picture. Instead, you can actually enjoy the moment.

Nostalgia at Its Best

Although there are plenty of children visiting, I actually think adults appreciate this experience just as much—maybe even more.

Pixar films have been around for decades now. Many of us grew up watching Toy Story, cried during Up, laughed through Monsters, Inc. and still quote Finding Nemo. Walking through these worlds instantly brings all those memories flooding back.

It's impossible not to smile. Every room reminded me why Pixar films are so loved.

The Only Downside

If I could change one thing, I'd make it longer. Much longer.

By the time you've reached the end, you'll probably wish there were another ten rooms waiting for you.

Officially, the experience lasts around 45 to 55 minutes, but if you're someone who loves taking photos or simply enjoys soaking everything in, it somehow feels over far too quickly.

That's honestly my biggest complaint—not because I wasn't enjoying it, but because I was. When you're having that much fun, an hour disappears in no time. I found myself wishing they'd included even more Pixar films or expanded some of the existing rooms.

Would I have happily spent another hour there? Absolutely.

Is It Interactive?

It's worth knowing that Mundo Pixar isn't a theme park attraction. It's not a ride and it's not full of games or activities.

Instead, it's designed to let you walk through beautifully recreated Pixar worlds while taking in the incredible scenery and capturing lots of photos.

If you arrive expecting rides or hands-on exhibits, you might be disappointed. If you arrive expecting to feel like you've stepped inside Pixar films, you'll probably love it.

Who Would Enjoy It?

I'd recommend Mundo Pixar to:

Pixar fans of any age
Disney lovers
Families with children
Couples looking for something different
Content creators and photographers
Anyone who loves immersive experiences
Adults wanting a nostalgic day out

Honestly, you don't need children to enjoy it. Our group was full of adults who were just as excited as the kids.

Is It Worth the Money?

This is probably the biggest question everyone asks.

Personally, yes.

Would I love it to be cheaper? Of course. Would I have liked another few rooms? Definitely.

But I also recognise the amount of work that's gone into creating these sets. The scale, the lighting, the sound design, the scents and the attention to detail all come together to create something that feels incredibly polished.

For any Pixar fan, it's one of those experiences that's genuinely worth doing at least once.

My Tips Before You Visit

If you're planning a trip, here are a few things I'd recommend:

Book your tickets in advance, especially for weekends.
Arrive a little early if you're driving to allow for parking.
Wear comfortable shoes.
Charge your phone, you'll take loads of photos.
Take your time in each room.
Don't rush just because people are moving ahead.
Look carefully, you'll spot lots of hidden details.
Most importantly, embrace your inner child.

Final Thoughts

I honestly left Mundo Pixar with the biggest smile on my face.

It's one of those rare experiences that manages to transport you somewhere else for a little while.

From the incredible oversized Toy Story rooms to the beautifully recreated sets, the carefully chosen music and even the unique smells in each environment, every detail works together to make you feel like you've stepped inside Pixar's world.

Yes, I wish it lasted longer. Yes, parking can be a little expensive. But neither of those things took away from just how magical the experience was.

Sometimes it's nice to spend an hour forgetting about the outside world and simply feeling like a kid again. That's exactly what Mundo Pixar gave me.
